Hard to think if the sponsorship world ever sets on the Manning family. Case in point, this week Bush’s Beans announced Peyton Manning as the newest bean ambassador for the brand. He joins the ranks of Duke Bush, Bush’s one and only spokesdog, and Jay Bush, Duke’s pal and the great-grandson of Bush’s founder, as a brand ambassador to help show the world all the beautiful bean possibilities.
What does it actually mean? More fiber for the Mannings? Who knows for sure, but one thing is cool, Bush’s Beans, carving the category of the “Official Beans of the SEC” found a way to cut through a category clutter with a spokesperson who enjoys fun engagement and not having to take on something that could be a heavy lift. Manning continues to enjoy his time in and around brands that he considers interesting and unique, and he obviously enjoys all things SEC.
And then there is his other business…branded content creation. Added in the announcement was that Bush’s Beans is working with Omaha Productions to produce a new series of ad spots featuring Manning.
So score one on both sides for the former Tennessee Vol and pro Football hall of Famer. Endorsement and production value in one partnership. Pretty efficient way to do business for one of America’s more engaging spokespeople, and a man who must enjoy his beans.
