While in Sicily I got a message from my brother Chris, who is in the process of cleaning out his home office and has, shall we say, a lot of stuff, most of which is very special but there are also a lot of cards that may not have value…how many Denny Walling’s does one need after all?
So what to do with them? He found an answer, one that is more relevant on Memorial Day, and can help make a difference in the lives of many.

Sports Cards 4 Veterans Inc. is a 501 (C)(3) Nonprofit organization founded and operated by Veterans, for Veterans. They are deeply committed to supporting our fellow service members, especially those facing mental health challenges and homelessness.
They provide therapeutic support and meaningful connections to Veterans by giving them sports cards—an engaging and nostalgic hobby that helps reduce stress, foster community, and promote mental wellness. These cards often serve as a gateway to conversation, camaraderie, and healing. They organize local activities and community events specifically for Veterans, creating spaces where they can connect, share, and heal together.
Their reasoning…

Veterans deserve more than thanks—they deserve action, compassion, and community. By using sports cards as a unique tool for engagement and healing, and by reinvesting in Veteran-focused initiatives, we help bring purpose and support back into the lives of those who served.
Who runs it…
Tyler Morgan is an Army and Operation Enduring Freedom Guantanamo Bay Veteran. Tyler has a huge passion for taking care of fellow brothers and sisters in uniform. It hits near to Tyler since his Roommate and Good Friend from Deployment Gregory Young took his own life in 2015 after battling with Mental Health Problems. Tyler brings more than 6 years of Management Experience and also a Bachelor’s Degree from Ferris State University. He is joined by his wife, Alexandra Morgan, whose passion for helping Veterans starts near to her heart with her late Father Charlie Carhart who was a U.S. Marine. Alexandra brings more than 10+ years of Management Experience from companies such as Wal Mart, Everwise Credit Union, and Centra Credit Union.
Simple idea…worth supporting and assisting.
